About Subharti

Subharti University was established in 2008 and currently has 18 colleges accommodating all technical and medical branches. University has received the prestigious NAAC “A” grade accredited since 2016. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Subharti Medical College, is one of the finest medical colleges of Northern India established in 2000, is a constituent college of Swami VivekanandSubharti University, Meerut. The College is located in a majestic building within the vast sprawling campus.

ChhatrapatiShivajiSubharti Hospital is associated hospital of Subharti Medical College. ChhatrapatiShivajiSubharti Hospital is a tertiary Care 1100 bedded Hospital having complete diagnostic care, Latest Radiological Equipments. It also has associated Subharti Institute of Cancer Management & Research having latest TrueBeam X Knife Radiotherapy Machine, Digital PET Scan.

Pathology Department in Subharti Medical College was started in year 2001, is well equipped with state of art facilities and has a team of highly motivated & experienced faculty members. MD in Pathology was started in 2009. All the sections of our department (Histopathology, Cytopathology, Hematology and Clinical Pathology) received accreditation by National accreditation board for testing and calibration of laboratories (NABL) in year 2014. We are trying to make our department an excellent one for the purpose of undergraduates and postgraduates training, research activities as well as to provide accurate investigative reports with sufficient internal and external quality control measures.

Mission of Department

> Provide state of art Pathology and Laboratory Medicine services that are efficient, comprehensive and of high quality for optimum patient care and disease prevention.

> Provide excellent experience to undergraduate and postgraduate students and other health care professionals through continuous improvement in educational programmes, clinical activities and research endeavors.

> Develop diagnostic, scientific and managerial abilities of residents by continuous training and supervision in different fields of Pathology viz. Histopathology, Cytopathology, Molecular Pathology, Hematology, Laboratory Medicine and Blood Banking.

> To strive for acquisition of skills needed to interpret laboratory data with clinico-pathological correlation and research activities.
