About the University

Swami Vivekanand Subharti University is a multidisciplinary university established under section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission (U.G.C.) Act, 1956 set up under the Swami Vivekanand Subharti Vishwavidyalaya, Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam, 2008 (U.P. Act No.29 of 2008) as passed by Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh in September 2008.

Subharti is a MISSION OF SERVICE. It is committed to provide every human being with basic necessities of life such as healthcare and education without any bar of caste-creed-religion or any other man-made factors, by establishing schools, colleges, hospitals, ashrams and Service Centers.

With the principles of “Shiksha, Seva, Sanskar evam Rashtriyata”, the University maintains a perfect balance between providing value education academic knowledge, skills, professional training, building a feeling of Nationalism and further teaching tradition and culture to all the students, teaching and non-teaching staff members.

University has 13 constituent Faculties and offers 150+ Programmes in various disciplines namely Medical, Dental, Nursing, AYUSH, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Science, Engineering and Technology, Law, Fine Arts, Education, Management and Commerce, Arts & Social Science. University has state of art infrastructure, advanced laboratories, simulation labs, ICT classrooms, sports and cultural facilities, yoga centers, residential, hostels and all other necessary facilities for the students as well as for the employees.

University promotes holistic education through integration, collaboration and multidisciplinary approach while giving emphasis on developing innovative ways to enhance curriculum development and delivery, research outcome, societal up-gradation and inculcation of values among the students.

In August 2022, University was accredited “A” grade with 3.22. CGPA by NAAC during its 2nd Cycle. India Today MDRA Ranking 2022 ranked Swami Vivekanand Subharti University at 2nd position for offering the highest no. of PG courses, at 5th position for best Faculty Student Ratio and at 29th Rank under top private universities.

About the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Subharti Medical College

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Subharti Medical College, one of the finest medical colleges of Northern India, is a constituent college of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. The College is located in a majestic building within the vast sprawling campus, furnished with the latest and best available audio-visual teaching aids such as OHP, LCD, visualizer, electronic teaching boards etc. provided in all the lecture theatres, departments and teaching points. The lectures are corroborated by a practical exercise, in each department having its own individual laboratory.

Presently, the college has 20 departments including Anatomy, Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Dermatology, STD & Leprosy, Forensic Medicine, General Surgery, Medicine, Microbiology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology & Head & Neck Surgery, Pathology, Pediatrics, Pharmacology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Physiology, Radio-Diagnosis and Paramedical Sciences. In addition, we also have a Central Research Station with an advanced research facility, Medical Education Unit and Central and Department libraries. The college is also offering Super-specialties in Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Plastic-surgery.

Our all departments are attached to a computer lab with CDs, internet facilities for the students for self-learning and surfing. Department libraries are stocked with the latest editions of books, publications and National and International Journals, on the subjects, in addition to the Central Library, where more than 50,000 books on different specialties are available.

No endeavor can be accomplished without the valuable contribution of the stakeholders involved, its success is entirely dependent on the teams working behind the scene, and similarly no treatment protocols can be perfect without skilled healthcare professionals. The technical expertise with theoretical knowledge is making healthcare professionals indispensable for any healthcare facility. Our success, over many years, has been the result of the quality of our teaching, support staff and excellent infrastructure. We are sure that the students will find the SCAH extremely beneficial for enhancing their professional skill and rising on the ladder of career advancement. Therefore, the main aim of our SCAH is to train the students in such a way that they apply their knowledge and skill in diagnostic as well therapeutic medicine.

The Subharti College of Allied and Healthcare, a constituent College of Faculty of Allied and Health Sciences, Meerut is well with all facilities required for teaching, training, learning & laboratory activities. At present, it is headed by Dr. Pankaj Kishor Mishra Ph. D in Biochemistry. He possesses vast experience of research and teaching. The other faculty members, highly qualified and experienced, are employed on a full time basis.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Subharti Hospital. The teaching hospital of Subharti Medical College, and Subharti College of Allied and Healthcare is accredited by NABH, has many super specialty departments. It is equipped with over 1000 beds, 24 Operating Suites, state of art 7 ICUs and modern Accident & Emergency Service Department. The Central Laboratory, accredited by NABL has advanced equipments & machines and provides excellent opportunities to students of Allied and Healthcare stream for training. The SCAH offers Doctoral programs in Medical Laboratory Technology and Medical Imaging Technology, Postgraduate programs in Medical Laboratory and Radio- Imaging Technology, The Undergraduate programs in the field of Medical Laboratory, Radio-Imaging, Operation Theatre, Operation Theatre (Honors Anesthesiology) and in Optometry form the premium group of programs much sought after. Besides PG and UG programs, Diploma programs in MLT, X-Ray, Optometry, CT-Scan and Operation Theatre are also being conducted. Many of the students have got placement in Government, corporate and private hospitals besides diagnostic and clinical laboratories within India and abroad.
